Meet Marcus Boyle - General Manager and Head Somme Meet Marcus Boyle - General Manager and Head Sommelier 
 
Having graced the world’s hospitality scene for over 25 years, Marcus Boyle has immersed himself in the role for the past several years as Group General Manager and Head Sommelier at M. Canggu & Uluwatu as well as The Back Room and the group’s latest addition, Bar Vera. 
 
Originally from Melbourne, earning his stripes managing and working in some of Australia’s finest restaurants. In 2008, Marcus joined the renowned Chef and Owner Ryan Clift in Singapore to helm the prestigious Tippling Club before opening, Open Door Policy, mod-Asian restaurant, Ding Dong, and Open Farm Community. 
 
Drawn into wine journey, Marcus became a Certified Court of Master Sommelier (CMS) in 2012 and later a French Wine Scholar (FWS). To mark his exceptional contribution to Singapore’s Champagne scene, Marcus was inducted into the converted French ‘Odre Des Coteaux de Champagne’ in 2013. 
 
Expect wines with new and old-world charm to complement the unique, arts-and-craft attitude that defines the M. and Bar Vera experience.
